ENG: Braník is a group of apartment buildings with 137 apartments and several commercial units on the ground floor, which is complemented by 15 terraced houses located in the area from the Kunratické stream to Branické náměstí. The set of buildings is supplemented by transport and engineering networks, connections, transitions and also addresses changes in the original traffic layout of Vrbova Street. The event is implemented on an area of approximately 1.96 hectares. The set of apartment buildings is divided into two main units. The first complex consists of apartment buildings A1, A2 and B (with 2 blocks), with 4-5 above-ground floors, which are connected to each other by an underground one-story garage. The second complex consists of a large apartment building C with 5 stairwells, 5 above-ground floors and a two-story extended garage. Terraced houses are divided into 3 rows consisting of two types of houses.
The design team of the Black n' Arch studio for this project processed the documentation for the execution of the construction and the documentation of changes to the construction before completion. The team members also provided author supervision of the building throughout the construction period and participated in the discussion of changes at the relevant state administration bodies during the implementation. Braník was the first large successfully realized project for the Black n' Arch studio and at the same time the first full-fledged BIM project processed in ArchiCAD software.
When designing using the BIM method, detailed models of the construction, static and technological parts were created for the purpose of better mutual spatial coordination. The models were created in graphic detail sufficient to generate 2D documentation from the 3D BIM models, thus preserving their interconnectedness. The models contained sufficient information detail about individual constructions for their full classification and evaluation based on automatically generated statements of materials, elements, building and technological constructions. From the reports, itemized budgets were subsequently created for the selection of suppliers of partial construction units. BIM models and reports were also subsequently used during implementation (e.g. 3D preview of more complex locations). 3D models were used to generate work visualizations or as a basis for creating marketing images and videos.

ANOTACE

ANNOTATION
Studio Black n' Arch is in this project works as a conceptual architect and works at the level of Study and Documentation for a joint building permit.
It is assumed that the project will have multiple purposes simultaneously within the terms of design of the TOP TOWER building. As well as residential and office space, it should also contain substantial public areas, which will be intended for example for business premises and shops. Other forms of cultural use are also possible, or even a new and better quality public space between both exits from Nové Butovice metro station, which will adjoin the future building. There will also be an observation point at the highest point of TOP TOWER, which will be open up a panoramic view of the south west city and other adjoining areas to the public.
The design also counts on a system for catching and managing rainwater, which will be used within the terms of standard operation of the building or for watering vegetation. The parking spaces below the building will be accessible to the public as shared parking. The investor also assumes that TOP TOWER will be energy efficient with an LEED Gold certificate.
The investor simultaneously initiates and takes specific steps, the purpose of which is expansion of the number of preferential parking places for local residents and others in the surrounding area. A new multi-storey car park will be built approx. 200 metres from the building at the intersection of Bucharova and Petrzílkova streets.
TOP TOWER will be built right next to Nové Butovice metro station and will also be connected to the new, practically kilometre long pedestrian zone, leading from the metro station through central Sluneční Square to Hůrka Station. At the same time it will be built practically next to the existing projects for the Cyberdog technological-information centre, the Trifot sculpture by David Černý or the SMART complex, which incudes the Czech Photo Centre photo gallery, which focuses on contemporary modern photography.

The interior design of the Black n' Arch studio is based on a scenographic approach to same. The basic element is, of course, the colour black, which evokes a sense of an effect in a theatre space. The sub-equipment’s spot lighting enhances the perception of the furniture as theatrical scenery. A no less significant detail of the studio is the Roxor jungle, in which the colours of greenery and light wood intertwine.

ENG: The Veselí nad Moravou winery is taking shape in close proximity to the Baťa Canal and the local castle. Its entire expanse was originally used for running Veselí Castle during the period it was within the House of Chorinský’s estate. Our plans also include renovation of the local orangery, which will be transformed so it looks as it originally appeared in the 18th century. We will also focus on accommodation, providing four smaller three-storey buildings containing apartments accessible from a central open stairway.
In terms of design, this was the first large-scale implementation project which Black n’ Arch drew up using Archicad. At the time, we were transitioning from other software platforms, and nobody in the studio’s team had much experience. Nevertheless, we all took the approach that there’s a first time for everything, and so we managed to find our way through. External professions co-ordinated in 2D. The architecture and construction aspect is usable to the greatest possible extent for the interior sub-model, and basic volume and area values can be determined. The plans are finished, and through this job the studio has had its first glimpse of the world of BIM design.

EN:
The listed Varna building in the Lihovar residential area in Prague's Smíchov district has been transformed into a gallery with a café thanks to an original yet sensitive architectural concept.
The exhibition space is spread over 6 floors - 5 floors and one underground and is conceived in the spirit of the original distillery: a generous five-storey space with a square atrium is open across all floors, thanks to which the atmosphere is completed by natural daylight penetrating through the skylight in the gabled roof. A small exhibition area is located on the third floor and is connected to the outdoor terrace and gallery facilities. The exhibition space features a permanent exhibition of David Černý and visiting contemporary artists.
The entire realization took 22 months from the first sketches to completion. The architectural studio Black n' Arch participated in the whole process.

ENG: The study of the development of the Monínec upper complex aims to improve and expand the services provided to clients, so that it also offers activities outside the current high season. The aim is to interconnect the existing accommodation facilities in the complex and build a 4* standard hotel with a common reception, café, wine cellar, conference hall and sauna world.
The hotel’s total capacity will increase to 90 rooms with a total of 220 beds, and a restaurant with an added children’s corner will offer seating for up to 176 persons indoors, as well as additional seating on outside terraces. The 220 m2 multifunctional hall, for approximately 200 persons in a theatre arrangement and 99 persons in a table arrangement, will be used to organise conferences and weddings, as well as a space for exercise. In addition to several types of saunas, the sauna world operation also includes cosmetic and massage services, and a relaxation zone connected to the roof terrace.
The project concept is based on the connection of the existing Montana and Javorka hotels, and their extension in a southerly direction. The entire building will be connected by a heavy stone plinth, with additional light structures that will be in contrast with the existing buildings. The Montana and Javorka hotels will be harmonised with surface materials – new wooden cladding – so that they have the character of mountain cottages. The material solution uses typical local elements such as stone and wood.
On the terraces on the slope below the hotel, in addition to outdoor sports grounds and pool, there will also be a car park for approximately 100 cars, and a dormitory for employees with a sports equipment rental shop.

Nástavby respektují aktuální půdorysnou stopu a nepřekročí stávající obrys budovy.
(Finální povrchová úprava prvních dvou nadzemních podlaží a římsy bude světle šedobéžová omítka, nástavby z šedých sendvičových panelů, doplňky šedé. Přístavba garáže bude z béton brut. )

ENG: The existing building is divided into two wings, which were created gradually in various time periods. The oldest part, which is the former two-storey crèche from the 1970s, was expanded in 1998 to include a residential roof superstructure and a ground floor entrance hall. The second, newer wing, consisting of two aboveground floors with a main entrance, was built in 2008. This unit currently forms Centrum Paraple.
This entire building will undergo structural modifications, and will be supplemented with superstructures and extensions. The superstructures respect the current ground plan footprint, and will not exceed the building’s existing outline. The superstructure above the oldest part of the building will replace the original roof superstructure, while the superstructure above the newer wing will expand the building by two floors. Extensions are understood to mean the expansion of the building, especially the oldest building, by two floors in a northerly direction, as well as the construction of a new parking garage located on the south side of the plot, forming a ground plan extension of the newer wing. This compositional solution is based on the land at the investor’s disposal, and the requirements of the internal operation, which plays the most important role.
The overall appearance of the building should become more cohesive, and should not look as fragmented as it does today. The time of construction of the original and new buildings should be noticeable. Heightwise, one horizontal line will be created here, which will separate the larger and more robust plinth from the lighter, subtler superstructure. During the reconstruction of the interior spaces, maximum attention should be paid to the building’s operation and function.
In terms of colour, the effect should be more calming. At the moment, many materials are used on the building. The new state should be as limited as possible in the range of materials used. (The final surface finish of the first two aboveground floors and the ledge will be light grey-beige plaster, the superstructures will be made from grey sandwich panels, and the accessories will be grey. Objekt situovaný v areálu Botanického ústavu AV ČR v Chotobuzi vychází z myšlenky sjednocení stávajícího chaotického komplexu do kompaktní podoby. V tomto okamžiku vstupují do hry lidé, mimo jiné žijící a studující ovoce, což vede k těsnému propojení přírody a moderních technologií.

The building, situated in the complex of the Institute of Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences Chotobuz, is based on the idea of the unification of the existing chaotic complex into a compact form. The main motif here is fruit, which harmoniously groups together individual seeds inside its flesh. What’s more, this fruit is protected by leaves fallen from surrounding trees. At this point, people, among others living in and studying the fruit, come into play, leading to the close interconnection of nature and modern technologies. The fusion with the surrounding nature is amplified by the partial setting of the fruit in the field.
The building’s flesh turns into work spaces, the seeds serve as an area for relaxation, meetings or study, the skin is the facade and the leaf is the roof. The proposed project is spatially resolved using two different approaches. In addition to a herbarium and scientific workplaces, the first of these also includes a publicly accessible library, which lies in the heart of the entire building as a centre of collected knowledge.
In spite of its large dimensions, the building remains inconspicuous in the context of the adjacent Park Průhonice, which falls within the UNESCO family.

Budovy navrhlo studio Jiran a partner architekti.

ENG: The investor contacted Black n’Arch studio with a proposal to connect two planned structures in an empty space on Lihovarská street in Vysočany. The buildings were designed by the Jiran a partner architekti studio. David Černý and Tomáš Císař then came up with the idea of being contextual – building on the legacy of factory owner Emil Kolben, who imprinted the industrial identity and world renown on this Prague neighbourhood. Materially, it is an artistic structure loosely inspired by the train derailment at Montparnasse railway station in Paris in 1895.
The Black n’Arch footbridge-locomotive was modelled in Rhinoceros using archived drawings in NTM. It is an exact copy of the largest locomotive ever produced at the Kolben plant in Vysočany. The model was co-ordinated with construction using IFC. Connection of the locomotive, the digital crash – explosion was simulated in Grasshopper. Computational designer Petr Vacek helped the studio with this task.

ENG: The study of the sports hall located in the lower complex in Monínec aims to improve and expand the services provided to the sports complex’s clients, so that it also offers activities outside the current high season. The plan is to build a sports hall that will be used mainly for indoor sports – basketball, floorball, handball, indoor football, volleyball etc.
The hall’s parameters will allow for the organising of training sessions, workshops and sports camps for both youth and professional sports teams. The hall’s equipment includes enough changing rooms for organising tournaments, including two large, comfortable changing rooms for professional teams. The hall includes another universal hall, as well as facilities for the media, administration and spectators. The capacity of the grandstands for the central field will be 300 spectators, and for a match on a smaller field, when the mobile grandstands are set up, up to 500 spectators. The entrance area is operationally connected to a refreshments operation and sanitary facilities with a capacity for the maximum number of spectators.
The simple block of the hall sits in a cut in the slope, so that the back of the hall is completely embedded underground. The rough wooden cladding on the side walls transitions into a massive wooden awning above the entire glassed front facade. The shape of the awning evokes the logo of the Monínec complex. The glassed front wall will allow passers-by to watch events in the hall.
